biographical info
Fox Opera is a band of three. We like to rock... roll, even. Our music
is sometimes catchy, sometimes incoherent, sometimes soft, sometimes
loud. Cait has stagefright, Noah brings the polyrhythms and Keith only
listens to jazz.
This is what some very nice people have said about us:
"Fox Opera kill (each other) live: Noah Rabinovitch (drums) and Caitlin
Copeland (guitar/vox) spend most of their stage time trying to mess each
other up (as opposed to most bands, who do all they can to keep it
together), while bassist Keith Rodger soldiers on, seemingly oblivious
to the war of attrition happening around him. As a result, this indie
power-trio make compelling music that is even more compelling to watch."

styles all playing off of each other." - Harvey Hinton for

"... one of the most interesting bands in the local scene..." - Alvy
Singer for FFWD Magazine, 10 January 2008
"...an energetic four-piece with a knack for combining off-kilter
art-rock with up-tempo Afro-beat guitar sounds." - Jesse Locke for The
Calgary Sun, 28 December 2007
"... an exciting new set of voices in Calgary music." - Mark Hamilton
for Swerve Magazine, 7 December 2007

indie rock, all pulled off with intriguing style..." - Mark Hamilton
