A familiar face from years of service with D.O.A., Carolyn Mark, Jr. Gone Wild, and Veda Hille to name but a few, Ford Pier's solo work blends lyricism, noise, soul, and tunefulness with unremitting intensity and orchestral grandeur. 2004 marked the release of this Canadian music scene veteran's third album, Pier-ic Victory, on Toronto's Six Shooter records, as well as live performances in Canada, the United States, and Europe alongside such diverse artists as NoMeansNo, The Rheostatics, Geoff Berner, The Sadies, Chris & Kate, Alice Donut, The Organ, Oh Susanna, and The Weakerthans. He never seemed out of place. All things to all men, or nothing to anybody? Time will tell - or would, but is under a gag order.
