biographical info

A Canadian singer/songwriter to be reckoned with; Felicia thrives on creating. A recent graduate of Selkirk College in Nelson BC; she has over 30 original compositions to her name. She also has a great love for performing, and has played many venues in Nelson as well as Victoria BC. Her energetic shows consist of a blend of her own folk and indie-rock originals – as well as an innovative mixture of re-vamped cover songs in styles ranging from the Cranberries to Bob Dylan. ________________________________________________________________________________ She has played everything from full-band rock shows to intimate one-woman serenades at local coffee shops and restaurants. People often comment on her up-beat attitude and her unique sound as a performer, as well as her ability to engage the audience and heighten the energy of a crowd. In addition to being a singer, Felicia is also a student of classical guitar and piano, and is able to accompany herself on both instruments. ________________________________________________________________________________ Felicia has studied vocal technique under Warren Dyke (who composed jingles for TV and Radio) and Cheryl Hodge (who also taught the well-known singer Paula Cole). She has also studied Compositional technique and Film Scoring with Don Macdonald (who most recently composed the score to the Movie “Fido”). Felicia is currently playing in a duo with fellow singer/songwriter Jaime Hall (who plays keys as well as sings) and in a trio with Doug Kimola on drums and David Ruigrok on bass for larger venues.
