After 6 years FNDMNTL is finally dropping our
most anticipated EP. After a lengthy break up, the members of FNDMNTL banded
for one last beer drinking evening and had a listening party. Chose the tracks
that could go on this EP and we now present to you the final product!
This collection of songs is mainly from a month
the band had spent on Galiano Island in British Columbia. They transformed the
upper floor into a recording studio. It took 4 days to set up and 1 day to
break down.
Being highly influenced by film music the members of FNDMNTL wanted
to bridge the gap between their love for dub, hiphop, and instrumental music.
John Powell, Diplo, Warp, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Flying Lotus, Jel and Bonobo
are some of the flavours you will hear on this record. But I assure you its
nothing like what you’ve heard out there before. Dubhop Film music.
With Minor keys, thick beats, chunky loops, juicy drops, sweet
