Fine Motor Control was formed in late July of 2004 after a coincidental meeting from an internet classified ad. At the time, these seasoned musicians were both involved in separate projects, but, were interested in branching off into new musical realms. Ironically, they shared a similar vision. That vision was to push the boundaries of today's musical confines by adapting a minimalistic, yet powerful approach. "Doing more with less". Fine Motor Control proves this theory to be true with their 2-piece collaboration. By combining pounding drum beats with blazing bass lines, while rounding it out with heartfelt vocals, Fine Motor Control (FMC) enters theCanadian music scene as a band to be reckoned with. With musical influences ranging from classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, to modern day groups like Nirvana and The Pixies, FMC collaborates a variety of sounds and ideas to encompass their aggressive, yet calculated sound.
