biographical info
Although based out of a small prairie town, Filmmaker has made a point of not letting their geographical isolation hinder them. Rather they've made it a point to prove that location, in fact, is not everything.
In the past eighteen months Filmmaker has released a 6 song EP, a full length album, received over 70,000 downloads on the mp3.com website (topping the sales charts), and touring virtually non-stop. The band has spent over 5 months on the road this past year. With two full Canadian tours, countless western Canadian tours, and a host of US shows under their belts they have no intentions of slowing down.
Released in September of 2001, Filmmaker's "Break This Fall" EP was met with substantial radio success in both Canada and the US. It charted coast to coast in Canada and on nearly 90 American stations, peaking at 144 on the CMJ 200. Reveiws of the EP have lent th eband comparisons to the likes of Samiam, Jimmy Eat World, and Texas is the Reason.
