Figment-Seadog is something that I have to do. It is my emotion and everything that I can't say, written out in music. The band is basically my project, which I have had going for the past 6 years. At its base, the music is electronic. I program in the loops and sequences that make all the songs. Then I record many of my talented friends (thanks Dan Heffner, Julie Kunnathu, Cam May, Julia Taylor-Hell, Mark Senicki and Meaghan Nolan) on top of the electronic stuff, fiddle with it, adjust levels and then the song is done.
For a while, I was making guitar music which was kindof folky but also kinda ambient. Then I was making all-electronic music for video games. Now, I am not sure what I'm making! It's cool tho.
My latest CD has taken about 2 years to complete and it is on the streets ...Get it at megatunes and hotwax in calgary. $10. If i make any profits, I will donate them all to charity.
