biographical info
Hailing from Guelph, Ontario, the Evil Genius have firmly established
themselves as a band driven by a riff-heavy and vocally charged sound.
While incorporating a range of influence anywhere from blues to classic
and modern rock, this quartet maintains the essence of a pure rock act.
Long time friends Jeff Holdridge and Dave Huber began collaborating in
2003. The two found themselves jamming with numerous musicians in a
constant search for the final pieces to the Evil Genius puzzle. The
full band eventually formed in the fall of 2005 when the two hooked up
with local bassist Attila Toth and drummer Mike Steenbakkers. The band
meshed perfectly and quickly established common ground with regards to
musical aspiration. The Evil Genius has since been hard at work
promoting a uniquely familiar sound. The group, in their 20’s, can
currently be found rocking out to promote their self-titled studio EP
‘The Evil Genius’. The band continues to write, play, learn and mature
musically with high expectations. Whether in the studio or live
performance, one thing remains certain, Evil Genius is hard hitting,
heart thumping, fist pumping, but most importantly – it’s catchy Rock
and Roll.
