In this post 9/11 climate, David Ernesto Gutierrez-Guevara also known as Eternal Love (born September 11, 1985) is a politically active rapper and revolutionary. Eternal Love’s musical style can be described as a mixture of narration on topics such as politics, poverty, religion, social class, racism, tyranny, the truths of the world and what life indefinitely beholds.
Growing up on the streets of East Vancouver, the young man became infatuated with hip hop culture. He also began to study in depth about the Revolutionary ideas that had caused a history of uprising in the indigenous community of his native Central America and The World. He studied, began to form his lyrics and created songs that would prove to be an indication of what was to come… entering into his recording career at the early age of 18, putting all that he had learned into his music. Eternal Love’s music is inspired by historical and often political figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Che Guevara, Augusto Cesar Sandino, Huey P Newton, Tupac Amaru Shakur and Confucius. His musical vision is to use the might of the pen before the might of the sword to spread the truth through music.
Turning his eye to production, he has earned a diploma in Audio Engineering & Production from Pacific Audio Visual Institute which is synonymous with his success at making music. He was now focused on getting an album together.
… In 2007, touching up some of the songs he had written, Eternal Love released his first album “The Beginning” without the help of a record label or distribution, instead using his own hard earned money and a belief that music should sell itself; no marketing gimmick needed. “The Beginning” featured appearances from underground stars Mickey D and Che Pablucci among others. Eternal Love quickly became well-known throughout the underground.
As the music industry crumbles, he founded the Third World Order Productions movement out of a survivalist desire to keep his artistic independence and power over his production. Building on the truth with an uncompromising brand of street science, his message to other artists and his fans is to quit being played by the system and educate your selves.
Established in the underground circuit, Eternal’s productive ideas, experiences and struggle recently paid off during a visit back to his highly musical and artistic family’s native land of Nicaragua. He was embraced by Nicaraguan fans, doing interviews on the radios, and television (La Camara Matizona) and performing at an outdoor festival before an estimated 10,000 fans.
Back from this successful tour, the self-described “Brightest Star” is now working with some of Vancouver's, Providence's, and Nicaragua's heaviest hitters trying to spread the brutal truth, the message, the love and the rhyme to the multi-cultural population of the world and universe through a hand-to-hand out of the trunk hustle.
He just recently came back from Providence, Rhode Island where he went to work with some of the biggest names in Latin Hip Hop. Linking up with Cristian "Temperamento" Estremera they made and released the album "M.A.G.U.S." exclusive for losheavyweights.com in 3 days. Including a video for the track "Let Me In" Feat. Skitzo, Directed By Temperamento. With Block Royal having his back and the album having such a wide variety of collaborations from some of the greatest artists the East Coast has to offer the album has been downloaded all over the world. Even getting radio play in Central America and Canada.
Since he got back he has been working on his highly anticipated and awaited for 3rd album "Storytellin" which is due to release in December of 2009. "It's going to have many surprises. I'm going to hit a lot of topics harder and more graphic than before. More in your face, you cant deny the truth type deal." says Eternal. There is a big range of collaborations on this album with artists stemming from Vancouver, The East Coast of The US, and Nicaragua. The album is going to be a various mix of English and Spanish, with even a dab of French in there. So be looking for it when it comes out in December.
Eternal is also cooking up some side projects right now as well forming the new super group "Guardians Of The Earth". Helping awake and educate, helping the people reach their Godly state. More details on the "Guardians Of The Earth" to come. Relax, it's just begun.
He has many releases coming up in 2010 including his album "Storytellin" in December and more videos he is planning. As well as new artists being introduced with the Third World Order/Block Royal Movement expanding, including the beginning of the Nicaragua Chapter (Colmax Records). He has been putting in a lot of work and will always keep doing so. So stay tuned for more on "The Brightest Star" the Future of The World and Music.
