When musicians Rick White and Chris Thompson of the band The Forest took on Julie Doiron and Purple Knight drummer Mark Gaudet and changed their name to Eric's Trip they had little idea what was in store for them. In the early nineties, Eric's Trip became the first of many Canadian bands signed to Sub Pop. Their fuzzy, lo-fi pop and trippy, tuneful songs became a trademark that would enrapture young music fans all over the continent and beyond.
