A proud Canadian singer- songwriter, Eric has been performing in Montreal clubs since the mid 70's in such bands as, The Eric Mitchell Dancing Lesson, The Debutants, Zone Critters, The Hostages, David Henman Band (part 1), Sensible Shoes, The Lakeshore Rockers, Whatband, Sonny Daze and the Bottle Rocket Combo, Sundown, Midnight Stage, South Wind, Iron Mountain, and finally Double E with long time friend Ed Deigan, before launching a solo act as Eric Lance Critter.
The CD " Homeless " was released in July 2009, was written and composed by Eric Mitchell with the help of John Chubb, vocals and tasteful guitars, Mike Wheaton, smooth bass and Eric Mitchell, lead vocals and guitar. The percussion was added by Mississauga band PUSH.
Homeless was inspired while working at The Old Brewery Mission, feeding the homeless and was origionally planned as a fund raising tool for said mission, however, after negociations with the foundations reached an impass, the project was scrapped.
The CD gets regular airplay on internet radio at www.musictogousa.com and Eric is thrilled to now be an artist on CBC Radio3. A 2nd CD is now being produced and a release date is slated for sometime in the fall of 2010. Homeless is available for sale by track or CD on iTunes, iMusic, Snocap, Napster, Rhapsody and Amazon.com.
