biographical info
The egg is a symbol of life. A universal symbol of strength, simplicity and vitality. Egger is music hatched from the mind of Dave Ullrich (ex-The Inbreds). Simple songs that tell stories of discovery, confusion and responsibility.
Force Majeure, the debut album from Egger, is a 10-song platter recorded in Toronto by Don Kerr. Sessions were divided between the Gas Station Studio on Toronto Island, and Dave’s Danforth-area home studio. The musicians playing on the album include Paul Linklater, Doug Friesen and Don Kerr. Collectively they are known as The Scribbled Out Man, but individually they have played with artists including Ron Sexsmith, Peter Elkas, and the Rheostatics. All songs on the album were penned by Dave, but it is the skilled mojo of these egg-men that makes the music soar.
Recording in the mid-90’s with Mike O’Neill as one-half of a unique pop-rock duo, Dave recorded four full length albums that were received with universal critical acclaim. The Inbreds toured internationally and won the support of diverse artists such as Dave Grohl, The Tragically Hip and Matthew Sweet. Dave started the innovative digital music label Zunior.com in 2004 to release music online from artists such as the Rheostatics, Elevator and Al Tuck. The label sets a forth a new way to create, promote and distribute music internationally. Force Majeure is available exclusively on Zunior.com.
