biographical info
Electrokinesia is the new electronic music of Aelfric Michael Avery. Aelfric (born 1976) has undertaken the Electrokinesia project in 2005 after 18 years of music composition and recording experience, in which time he has created many hundreds of songs in widely varying styles, only about 110 of which have been released. Aelfric's music career began at age 5 when he started calling square dances with his Grandfather. He started piano at age 7, guitar at age 10 and bass and drums a couple years later. By then he was writing and recording his own songs and playing in bands as a guitarist, bassist and drummer in his hometown of Chilliwack, BC (Canada). Aelfric began writing and recording his own songs at age 11 on old tape recorders. He began making multi-track recordings at age 14, and produced a few hundred songs while still in his teens. After finishing high school he attended Selkirk Music College in Nelson BC. Aelfric released electronic music albums under the name Avery Monarch in the early 90s. Between 1997-2003 Aelfric released 5 albums of ancient European folk music under the name 'Aelfric'. For those who already know Aelfric's music, Electrokinesia is a new and improved format for the familiar nature of Aelfric's compositions. For those not familiar with Aelfric's previous music, Electrokinesia is an introduction which crosses a wide style spectrum within electronica and is appealing to people of many ages and musical tastes.
