Whether she's channeling the powerful emotional themes unearthed by her songwriting, or re-experiencing the freedom of footloose traveling, Drea Macdonald sings with grit, passion, and determination. After years of recording simple demos out of her friend's attic studio, March, 2009, saw the release of Drea's first recording with a backing band - a six-song CD titled "Between You and Me". As a follow up, the Drea Macdonald Band released a 5-song album titled "Let's Get Lost" in July, 2010, recorded live off the floor in a house in rural PEI. Work has begun on a full-length studio album which will be released in early 2012. This new release sees a change from folk to guitar-driven rock with new backing band, The Wildebeards.
