Since 2005 Donna kay has garnered a total of 13 nominations in the CAMA, NAMA, WCMA, APCA and the Alberta Flim and television Awards The album "The Journey' won the 2006 Canadian Aboriginal Music Award for best Producer/ Engineer, and from the same Album her hit single " Round Round Round" won Best Music Video at the 2007 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards.
