biographical info
Toronto MC/producer Don Cash burst onto the scene in 2004 with a series of classic CD-Rs that won him the attention of LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy among others, and saw him described as a "21st century icon" by The Fader Magazine. His 2007 European debut release Don Cash II -- which cannily foreshadowed the current electro fixation in rap circles -- spawned the worldwide club hit "Disco Wreck" and received rave reviews in NME, i-D magazine and The Independent -- while he was described as simply "King" in the Sunday Times of London.
2012 sees Cash still up to his prolific ways with the release of 3 new albums. Epic -- released on the Los Angeles cassette-only label, Spring Break Tapes -- is Cash's first hits compilation, while his two new studio efforts City (rap/vocal) and 24\7 (beats/instrumental) are available now online via newafryka.bandcamp.com
