A native Montrealer, Diesel J's grew up playing piano, drums, electric and double bass. Originally, new wave, alternative rock, fusion and jazz formed the basis of his musical styles. After completing a college and University degree in Music performance and Kinesiology respectively he has performed in several jazz bands and played the International Montreal Jazz Festival. He transitioned to dance music and studied Sound Engineering. "I 'm an avid learner and somewhat of a geek" he confesses. Not only does his talent stop at music, Diesel J modelled in New York city and worked with the likes of MIchael Jackson, Dave Navarro and others. He later started a highly successful e-com business capitalizing on his marketability, savvy web design skills and his ability to reach a wide audience. He was an instant hit! This lead to being featured on Canada's most popular reality tv series entitled Webdreams Season 2. "People often are surprised at the various activities I take part in" he admits. "Life is short, I get involved in anything that comes my way - I hate missing out on opportunities" he adds. His success allowed him to invest considerable time and resources to music production and djing. Now, a solid dance producer and esteemed DJ, Diesel J continues to release tracks and promote, market and distribute his work via online resources. Diesel J looks forward to what the future has to offer and strives to develop his unique sound often described as catchy, stylish and slick.
