Captivating, electrifying, unforgettable…
Singer/songwriter/entertainer Deborah Ledon is as extraordinary as her life story. Born in Cuba, her family pulled off a daring escape to Canada when she was just two years old. Now the vocally versatile "triple-threat" has a spellbinding stage presence and boasts a varied and eclectic background as an entertainer and performer.
Her independent debut Spilling Inside Out won her Best New Jazz Artist in 2004 and hit the Euro Americana Charts as one of 2005’s best albums. CBC Radio’s “Hot Air” program showcased Deborah including a recording session and an hour-long interview. As well, her performances at the CBC studios for the 2009 TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival were broadcast across the country.
She has shared the stage with Paul Anka and this year marked Deborah’s 4th year as a regular showcase performer at the River Rock Casino in Richmond. She sang at the Shooting Stars Foundation’s Jazzilla and then represented Canada with a 2- hour long concert at the 2010 Cultural Olympiad during the Olympics.
Part of the grand finale for the 2010 TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival, 3 sold out show to date at the Cellar Jazz Club, and upcoming shows at the River Rock Casino, this multi-talented bolt of Latin lightening was recently hired by "Legends of Rock & Roll"
