Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Uncle Dan Henshall brings an old souls wisdom to traditional music with a sparkling youthful energy rare among his contemporaries. Uncle Dan plays mandolin, banjo, upright bass, guitar and eclectic hybrid instruments such as the Banjoline. He's a regular member of A Yellow Field and The Comic Sans, performs his own original traditional-inspired material as a soloist, as well as freelances around Ontario. Uncle Dan is currently recording his first full-length release. He regularly appears as an accompanist to The Blackwood Two, Ken Foster, Allison Brown and String Bone.
