biographical info
Dry Tickle began in 2001 as a rickety country stringband with a taste for irony. Their early musical escapades included a jugband take on 'Anarchy In The UK', a countrified 'These Boots Are Made For Walking' that descended into a miasma of middle eastern scales plucked on the banjo and mandolin, and a straight up bluegrass cover of the 'Theme From Star Trek'.
Dry Tickle has since morphed into a more sincere and urbane electrified country rock ensemble, while maintaining a strong sense of humour and fun. Now based primarly around the wry songwriting, "throat cold" vocals and Carter picked acoustic guitar of Greg Denton with fiddle (Geordie Gordon), electric guitar (Tristan O'Malley), electric bass (Peter Turpin), and hard hitting drums (Vish Khanna), Dry Tickle released their self titled debut cd in July 2006.
