DJ Status (Fraser Rushton) started his career when he was 18. Born in Montreal, Qc. Canada, he presently resides in Moncton NB.
He placed 3rd in the Canadian DMC finals in 1992. Then, going on to win the Maritime Dj Spinoff held in Halifax 1993, the NB contest 1993/1994 and Dj Wars 2001 Moncton, NB.
After holding several residencies in Canadian nightclubs, he expanded his career to an international level, headlining several events in Mexico.One such event was headlining the Vestax/Shure dj contest held in Merida, Mexico 2002, alongside Dj Pepster (DMC Mexico champ).
He has shared the stage with artists such as: Turnstylez Crew, Ludacris, Maestro Fresh Wes, Classified, DMC Mexico champ Dj Pepster, Dj Devious, The Rascalz, Shawn Desman, Snow, Skratch Bastid.
He has done cuts for various artists including J-BRU, VIC BENNETT(DUMBCAT RECORDS WASHINGTON DC), L-VISION(T.O.) ,STREETFAME RECORDS, CRIMINALUNDERGROUND,INDEGENOUS.
