biographical info
Formed in 2003, the canadian band didn't waste any time before recording their first ep "Bloody Breakfast". They released it on their very own record label (Les Disques Grabuge) early 2004, followed by a 5 weeks U.S./Canada tour. It's crystal clear, this five-song tease shows this band's superior export appeal. Bloody Breakfast's title track appeared in 2004-2005 as the theme song of the skateboard TV show: THE UNDERATTACK SHOW (Season 1&2), broadcasted on Canada's national channel GLOBAL, and on Quebec's favorite music channel MUSIQUE PLUS. The song also made it's way on a 4x4 DVD called Full Throttle and as “bonus track” on their latest CDep Demerits, released in 2005.
Their new 7 songs ep, that is even more intense and diversified than their first, came out on Blue Skies Turn Black; record label and show promotions team run out of Montreal Canada. “Taking nods from Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu and Rocket From the Crypt (essentially all things John Reis), Dirty Tricks hunker down and dig in to create some serious thinking-man's rock coming right from the gut, with clichés kept at arm's length.” (Johnson Cummins / The Doughboys - Bionic)
The addition of their new member Patrick playing synth is exactly what they needed to complete the band. They played with: TSAR, The Ponys, C'Mon, Malajube, Tricky Woo, Two Gallants, Starving Hungry, The Hot Springs, The Frenetics, Turpentine Brothers, The Plus Ones, The Expotentials and many others..
