biographical info

Del Vezeau The Starting Points The formative years were spent on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada , namely a former fishing town known as Hubbards, shortly after my parents settled there from Ontario. I started playing the guitar at the age of thirteen, with instruction from my father; accomplished bluegrass musician, Sam Vezeau. He taught me half a dozen songs or so, each one more difficult than the last before I broke his heart noodling away on my own, figuring out licks by bands and artists like Pink Floyd, Yes and Frank Zappa. It took awhile, but he acquiesced and was eventually able to dig "Dark Side of the Moon". The real musical turning point occurred after I penned or rather "felt my way" through my first song , "Father's Porridge" at age nineteen. Without the aid of any formal training, I had only ambition and intuition to guide me. Little has changed since.
