Daniel Lui (Rainfield, Niche&Neeper, Big Smoke Nights, Blackout Theory) is an artist, producer, and founder of Chair Recordings, a Toronto based label. He began his career in visual arts but when he discovered electronic music Lui was drawn into the realm of audio manipulation. As his passion for electronic music grew and his physical space for creating visual art shrank he found a new outlet for artistic expression. By recording LIVE this allows him the spontaneity and freedom of intuition that characterizes his work. This can also be seen in his performances that have rocked crowds far and wide. With the main body of his work on Chair Recordings (since 1998) Lui has also released material on other labels such as Public Transit, Tuning Spork, A/S Systems, Remains, 2122 Corp, It Is What It Is, Tone, and Blue.
