biographical info
Raised in a suburb of New York City by a French Canadian father and a West Virginia Hillbilly mother, my music education was early-influenced by my mother's extensive record collection from the 1930s and 40s. (My mother bought Dylans first two albums because, she said, 'he sings like people did when I was a girl'. After traveling all over North America, I met my Canadian husband, and together we raised our six daughters on nearly-idyllic Vancouver Island, where I am now a substitute teacher specializing in French, Math & Science.
This album evolved through my continuing love of folk music and participation in the local folk music society. Folk music is the spirit of the people. If people don't sing their own music, they lose part of who they are'.
