Crash
the Car is the project of songwriter Kyle Cashen, performing alone or
sometimes with a band; Crash the Car presents delicate, ethereal
alt-folk style indie rock with electronic elements.
Born out
of an introspective and exploratory style, Kyle has crafted Crash the
Car using immaculate soundscapes, sweet melodies and vision-inspiring
lyrics. Preferring to write in solitude then collaborate and reshape,
the music is unique and engrossing, and captures the ear of music
appreciators and musicians alike.
Crash the Car's first full
length album, They Built Houses Here, was released independently on
November 20, 2008. It was produced by Walter Bloodway, recorded and
mixed by multi-instrumentalist Jordy Walker (Christine Fellows, Kepler,
Kim Barlow), and mastered by Graemme Brown (Zen Mastering).
