Born and raised in Williams Lake, Colin Easthope has mastered a sound of his own. Blending the past with the present, Colin's sound is infused with a unique perspective on the classic blues and folk scenes.
He spent 2009 and 2010 collaborating with as many singer - songwriters and instrumentalists as he could get his hands on. In the summer of 2011 Colin played on the Train from Vancouver to Toronto to start his first summer of playing festivals, including The Vancouver Int'l Jazz Fest and Arts on the Fly. He also participated in The Peak Performance Project when he was hired to play guitar with Ashleigh Eyemann. The competition allowed Colin to attend the Peak Boot Camp where he learned a lifetimes worth of knowledge regarding songwriting, performing and the in's and out's of the music industry. Through these unique musical experiences Colin has crafted a musical voice of his own.
He recorded his debut LP in Vancouver BC March 2010 with the his brother on drums and high school friends at Gladgnome Studios backing him up. He released his follow up album, Restless...Who's Restless, in July of 2011. Colin's guitar, vocal and harmonica craftsmanship meshes traditional folk lyrics and blues riffs with an edgy alt-country flair.
Colin is currently living in Vancouver and will be touring this winter with his good friend Leathan Milne. Leathan is an accomplished musician and songwriter. The pair have each released new albums and are touring the Western British Columbia in support of their new music.
