The latest - December 2007
Well I suppose this isn't actually new news, it's just that I haven't been on NMC in a while and everything has changed! (for the better, I think). I have uploaded a bunch of other tracks - they are not new, they have been available on our website for almost a year now. For the tracks that were already on here, they have been replaced by re-mixed and re-mastered versions of the same songs, and I have uploaded most of the other Back to BASIC album tracks too (the remixed versions). If anyone is missing the old versions please email us and I will post them too.
We have also uploaded a re-mixed and re-mastered version of Little Big Foot, our holiday track. We are trying to get it played on the radio 3 holiday podcast! Fingers-crossed.
As for other Children of the CPU news, well there's not much to tell you. I did a small update on our website - I posted lyrics and album art for downloading at the request of some fans who wanted the lyrics. Veronica and I have been working on another project with some friends called World of Science - it'll make an appearance on NMC very soon, definitely by mid-January 2008. Veronica has been enlisted to sing on this project, and I have worked on the bleeps and bloops, but we also have an electric guitar player and a bass player, so it has a similar-but-different vibe/sound to it than Children of the CPU. Hopefully our CPU fans will check it out and like it!
We will start working on new Children of the CPU stuff this winter, yay! It takes us a while to put together an album though - it seems like December is the month we end up finishing projects, so we definitely hope to have a new album out there by December 2008 at the very latest. We also hope to begin performing soon, so watch for that if you are in Vancouver.
And that's that. :) Happy New Year - more news to come
