biographical info
Cherina and Davina were born on July 20th, 1992 in Brantford Ontario, but were raised in the The Junction a west end community in the city of Toronto. Music and creativity have been a constant theme in the lives of these identical twins. It all started at a very young age when they would charge family members admission to their "living room shows". They have been playing their instruments for six years, but started writing songs long before. When it came time to form a band there were no questions asked, they simply grabbed their instruments and started writing. It was a natural evolution of their musical abilities. Growing up Cherina and Davina rarely listened to the radio because it lacked the intimacy they wanted to hear. Instead, they stole their mothers collection of CD's and grew up listening to artists such as Jann Arden, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, and Lucinda Williams. They also (of course) had a grunge phase and still enjoy the sounds of bands such as Nirvana and The Pixies.
In the summer of 2010 Cherina and Davina signed with URBNET Records and started recording their debut release entitled "Beat Drops" produced by Lorne Hounsell (Fucked Up, Cuff The Duke, D-Sisive) at Central Audio studios in Toronto. They are currently in the studio working on their full length release due in stores and online this fall.
