biographical info
Charlotte Wrinch is a folk singer/songwriter living on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, and has been active in the Canadian music industry for over 10 years.
Charlotte is influenced by the desire to compose music and poetry, and by the impulse to look and sound like herself. She plays regularly with her band at many of the festivals and live music venues on the coast.
Playing acoustic guitar and a variety of recorders and penny whistles, her original music is an enticing blend of genres that evokes the distinctive atmosphere of modern life in a temperate rainforest setting.
In 2005 the Town of Gibsons invited Charlotte to play at a reception for Iona Campagnolo, the Governor General of Canada. Not long after, Charlotte received a FACTOR Demo Grant to record three of her original songs, "The String", “Kiss The Ground” and “Move Me On”, which she made into a professional demo recording. Since then, the recordings have received regular air-play on the local radio station, C-VUE FM.
More recently Charlotte appeared as a guest on Coast TVs live weekly show, Sunshine Coast Magazine. During that appearance, she played and sang two of her original songs, “Time To Kill” and “In Love”, and was then interviewed by host Ingrid Abbott.
