biographical info
Okay so you want to read about the band? Kev and I spent several months last year (2004) meeting and talking about life. Yep- life. We talked about our kids, our failed relationships, our love of literature (I know it's hard to believe but we actually did read and enjoy Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea before attempting to compose a song about it. We saw ourselves as the old man.) and a billion other things. Well maybe not a billion but an awful lot of stuff. We realized that we had a LOT to say. Our songs have not benefited from glossy production values- mainly because we couldn't afford the latest and the greatest. But they did benefit from something far more important: honesty and passion. We spent last Christmas night (2005) away from our children (shared custody blues) and worked on partial immunity. We were partially immune from the separation anxiety and we put it all into this song. It is this honesty, this immediate creative expression which still shines through. We recorded all songs on an old four track multi-track cassette deck. We didn't care, we were exorcising our demons. Jay
