We wouldn’t be caught dead playing I, V, VI, IV.
There’s nothing from us you’ve heard before and that’s a promise.
Casey Chung’s driving bass , Cole Dickson’s catchy guitar riffs,
Iain Howie’s majestic drumming, and Brennan and Jacy Zerb’s adhesive
vocals have come together just two weeks ago to form Casual Blizzard. Our roots grow deep into hard rock, desert rock, basement rock, classic rock, orchestral music, and laid back acoustic tunes.
What Kind Of Friend was first conceived by Cole and became a
collaborative effort as the band began to form. Inspiration for the
song came from Cole’s frustration with a long-time friendship. Jacy and
Brennan welded the lyrics together, Cole and Casey constructed the
guitar and bass parts, and Iain helped with arrangement and blasted his
way through the drums.
We are all in grade 10. We all are 15. Casey, Iain, and Cole are
Eric Hamber students, and Jacy and Brennan attend Burnaby South
Secondary.
We’ve just begun…with chemistry, passion, and a drive to create great songs.
