biographical info
Carly has been playing and writing her own songs for several years now. She probably wouldn't know what to do with herself if she didn't have music. Her weapons of choice are an acoustic guitar and harmonica, backed up with witty and insightful lyrics, and a strong, smoky voice. She has been fortunate enough to play at the West End Cultural Centre, and twice at the Winnipeg Folk Festival with the Young Performer's Program, in 2005 and 2007. Her songs may be heard on both the Red River College and University of Winnipeg radio stations. Carly has had the great opportunity to play for/with amazing musicians such as Dan Frechette and Matt Epp, and hopes to continue doing so in the future. Carly plans to record her first full-length album sometime soon, but in the meantime she plays at coffee shops and open mics around Winnipeg. :)
