As an individual, Quazar remains fairly enigmatic, affirming this
strange coupling of words is in fact his real name.
As an artist... let's head to the kitchen shall we? Ok, get out that
blender. Good. Let's take the rich flowing guitar tones of Nick Drake, throw in equal parts Stephen Malkmus and Frank Black
to get that indie-rock texture. Ok now, add a dash of Bob Dylan's spicy wit and garnish the
whole thing with a hearty Jim O'Rourke production. Now blend.
A musical work-a-holic, Quazar has been actively involved in the
music scene for several years. He has been in the rock bands
Jilted by Gerry, Agent Cooper, and briefly The Paper Heroes. He has also produced Sebastian Freeman's Our Baby Elephant at Birth. As for current projects, aside from his solo efforts, he is arranging and producing Amanda Mabro's upcoming album and playing guitar and keyboard in indie-rock band So Fancy and post rock project A Vertical Mosaic. A busy man.
