biographical info
City Field is a baby. Born in Halifax in the spring of 2004, the group has played in Toronto, Halifax and at the Montreal Pop Fesitval. A truly independent release entitled 'Authentic City' was released in the Fall of 2004 and contains six song-things, 'Pretenders' and 'Pigeon Quest' being two of the more popular cuts.
Way back in 2004, Matt Murphy (Super Friendz, Flashing Lights) and his co-vivant Gregg Millman shang-haied Mitchell Wiebe (Soaking up Jagged) to form a song-writing troika. Shortly after composing 'Pigeon Quest' they rounded out the group with Dave Ewenson (Just Friends Records) and Brent Randall (who's reputation precedes him).
Currently writing a full-length concept album about digital perms in Toronto, City Field hopes to visit more of the world in the fall.
