Here is a short version while I write something more detailed:
CIR is now celebrating 10 years writing electronic music! In 2001 I got together with K and formed Foil Conduit (latest release is available on the CIR message board in the members section, so you would have to have an account to access it, there is also a video of the last or second last show we played together) We started writing music together on Easter of that year. We wrote a lot of music together as we both learned the software we were using and expanding our technical knowledge. We played around 12 shows together and had, according to us, 4 albums worth of material put together. We had album art and would change site designs with each "release". All our stuff was "released" ourselves burning discs and giving out mp3s while we improved our skills.
In 2005 I got arthritis, things between K and I started falling a part and I didn't want to slowdown or stop writing music, so I started doing tracks all on my own. My contribution was always purely music but K did start getting more involved writing tracks, helping write tracks or adding synth bits/samples to them near the end of our partnership. I started working on music that wouldn't require a vocalist and filled them with more sounds and voice samples.
Since 2005, I've been slowly writing and gathering material to get an album together. I've been side tracked along the way getting a job for a year as a sound engineer, writing music for FPS video game levels, taking music theory certifications from the RCM, health issues and more health issues. Now I've been collecting all the tracks that I have completed and am in the process of getting a track list together for an album. Some older material needed to be replaced with newer songs. Now I'm finishing up the tracks I have on the go and will get the track list compiled to burn and send out to labels. That is the history summed up fairly quick.
