artist Chris Blackmore

Chris Blackmore is a trance producer from Regina, Saskatchewan. Chris was first introduced to dance music through friends who were involved in the music and DJ'ing. He began listening to many types of electronica, immersing himself in the music. After listening to many different genres of dance music, he began to be influenced by the trance and hard trance sounds of producers such as Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Rocco, and Starsplash amongst many others. Shortly afterwards, he began producing trance, using several music production software programs including Sony Acid Pro and several versions of the eJay series of music production software. Eventually, he expanded his small studio with a Korg Electribe Music Production Station, and a pair VSTi softsynths. Chris has worked on productions with producers from Canada, Britain, and the Netherlands and several of his tracks have been (and are currently) in the Soundclick.com Electronica Charts, five of which have reached the Top 100 in their respective sub-genre. Chris lives in Sackville, New Brunswick 8 months a year, studying International Relations at Mount Allison University. He will be working with New Brunswick's DJ Bolivia on future projects.
