artist C - Unit

C - UNIT was formed in Dec. 2004 when MC Lukas and Cold Slaw, two of the illest MCs on the Winnipeg scene, met up at a local rap battle. Impressed by each others lyrical finesse, they decided to team up to form a hip hop supergroup. Outside they were confonted by a group of playa haters who attempted to steal their winnings. Lukas and Slaw thought all was lost, until out of the shadows jumped a masked figure. The mysterious character let loose with a few roundhouse kicks, knocking the thugs unconscious. He then pulled off his mask, revealing his identity to be the legendary gangsta Mike Z. They then busted some freestyle rhymes and C - UNIT was born. With the three MC's ill rhymes and dope beats produced by none other than MC Lukas himself, the C - UNIT sound is hella tight. So don't front - we be the real deal. Their first single Beats 2 Ill dropped Jan. 11th 2005 to critical acclaim. Unfortunately Mike Z was shot by Mac Daddy Travvy in a gang fight on January 13, 2005. He took 29 shots before passing away. RIP. The C - UNIT EP (working title) is currently in production and is due out Spring 2005. On March 3, 2005 it was discovered that Mike Z was actually still alive! He rejoined the group and recorded some new material for their upcoming EP. Word to your mothers.
