They came from the West Coast of Canada to make every person they met dance. Funky good time missionaries, Buena Buya, just want to make you move, or swim through their melodic soundscapes of rhythmically driven reggae, ska and dub. After 3 years as a band, in February of 2010, the group will be travelling through their long time stomping grounds of Western Canada, before taking on the band dream of travelling with their music to Mexico in late February and March. Inspired by any kind of music that makes people move or feel good, the 7 piece outfit knows that the vast cultural landscape of Mexico will be a place of learning and growth. "Look out for the the Buena Buya Band, and our new disc, in a town near you....if you dance for us, we will dance for you," says drummer Dana Tower. The band is ecstatic, and looking forward to the more than 60 hours of driving from their home town of Victoria BC to Mexico City, so make sure you check out their myspace for all the dates in the months of February and March
