biographical info
Amy
Macdonald has already enchanted many softies with her haunting,
skilfully crafted singer/songwriter fare. She’s a stand-out in the
genre with her boundary-pushing guitar playing, emotionally-charged
lyrics, and beautiful vocal melodies. Go see her.

Bronze Leaf is born of
the space between intimacy and distance. Her ghostly instrumental evocations
shroud listeners in an unrepentant nostalgia, one that faces head-on our
memories of fractured kinship and emotional epiphany. With a lyrical
sensibility that favours showing over telling, she is well equipped to melt
many an icy heart.
Bronze
Leaf has been building an Edmonton following since 2008, sharing the stage with These Hands, Arms Up, Eisenhauer, Sheree
Plett, Pat LePoidevin, Tyler Butler, Doug Hoyer, Andre Charles
Theriault, and many others. Amy also moonlights with Gyre Spire &
Spindle (in which she yells) and Book of Caverns (in which she plays
keys), and has previously been a Sean Nicholas Savage backup
singer/flautist.
Bronze Leaf will release its debut LP Bread
Crumbs, produced by Eric Cheng (Portraits, Spreepark), in April 2010
on Champion City Records, followed by a Canadian tour in May.
