NEW ALBUM "PICTURE SHOW" out JUNE 2012. See Facebook link for tour dates and news!

Velvety vocals wear a vintage dress, backed-up by dapper gentlemen with flawless harmonies and killer solos.  Sweet and poetic folk songs warm up to sassy blues that give way to danceable tales of heartbreak and humour.

With an EP (“Then We Learned to Dance”) under her belt and a full length album being released summer of 2012, Brie Neilson has been writing and performing on her own, and with bands for the last 5 years. Besides lending her voice to a the 10-piece Montreal folk-noire collective, The Unsettlers, and releasing two full length albums with them, she has been gathering “Other Men” for the last three years to create a full band sound of her own.  Born in Vancouver, but living in Montreal, Brie hosts Chick Pickin' Mondays, a weekly female singer/songwriter night, performs and tours often with The Unsettlers and will be taking her new album “Picture Show” on the road this spring/summer.
