Formed in October of 2007 from a prime selection of local talent, Bridges and Breakdowns have torn the roof off every joint they’ve ever been allowed to enter. Playing their own brand of dirty rock and putting on an amazing and energetic performance night after night has led them to building up a large following of loyal fans and selling out venues throughout the province.
Charismatic Front man Tay MacRae, whose music roots began in his hometown of Maple Ridge BC, leads the band with a drive and ambition that comes through in his powerful and attention grabbing stage presence. Tay steps out on stage with one thing on his mind; to take his crowd of loyal fans and give them exactly what they came for: a mind blowing rock and roll experience.
Lead guitarist and co-songwriter Kris DeLange is the driving force behind all of B&B’s catchy hooks and killer riffs. The straight faced one of the group, Kris is the picture of concentration when pulling the crowd into the web of his perfectionist style of playing.
Bassist and comedian of the bunch Tyson McLellan has made music his life. Never caught without a smile on face and instrument in hand, Tyson’s forte’ of backup vocals and impeccable harmonies is what keeps the crowd at the front of the stage at every show.
Drummer Kevin Goode, being the newest member of Bridges and Breakdowns has proven to be the missing link. Growing up in Ottawa, Ontario he started playing venues at just 14 yrs. old and has mastered the ability to compliment precisely what is happening musically. When asked why he loves to play music so much Kevin’s response is one that we all agree on:
“Music is not what we do, it’s who we are!”
