biographical info

 

Blair Harvey is a song man and a rhythm man. The last of the barroom stompers. Drenched in the folk and blues tradition, with his heart tuned to rock n roll. Blair has ten years of dirty downtown pubs and a hundred plus original songs under his belt. His musical career was ignited in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Blair has released three albums, Burnin’ Down Religion(2004), Gutter Be Gutted(2006) and We Use to Rock n Roll(2010).He has won MUSICNL awards for best new folk artist, best new rock group and has been nominated for countless more. He has performed in theatre performances for “The Man in Black: a tribute to Johnny Cash” ”Feast of Cohen: a tribute to Leonard Cohen and The Bob Dylan Tribute show, all performed at the Arts and Culture Centre in St. john’s.

He has toured extensively through Canada, the United States and Europe. He has played the Stan Rogers Festival in Nova Scotia, The North American Folk Alliance in Memphis, Tennessee and the Working Class Hero Festival in Dublin, Ireland.  He now lives and breathes music in Toronto, Ontario.
