Here is a little background on my song, "Mamma, it's you!":
I wrote this song in December of 2007 and dedicated both the title track and the entire album to my friend's Mom, Corrie Cabbollet-Geraedts, in Holland. At that time, she was suffering from several health issues and I thought that by writing a song for her, I could possibly cheer her up. I suppose that in a small way, I was successful as she enjoyed the music and proudly showed off the album with her picture on it to all of her friends. Sadly, she passed away on October 14th, 2008.
I will never forget Corrie, the kindness and the hospitality which she showed us during our visits with her in Holland. We were treated like family and I, almost like a son. From that point on, I began to call her "Mamma" and since she didn't seem to mind, the name stuck.
All of us, especially her son Hans, and his entire family, dearly miss her.
