In late 1997 Big Eddy and the Trailer Park 5 began their musical ministry. Lovin’,losin’,boozin’,and always moving on. By 1999 they released their debut album titled "September 8th 1977". BETP5 quickly become a favourite on the Toronto Alt. Country scene playing shows regularly at The Horseshoe, Teds Wrecking Yard, Teds Collison and various venues in Hamilton and Lindsay. In 2003 they released their second album Arrow Songs. Arrow Songs was a Canadiana concept album about the Avro Arrow airplane built in the 1950's. The most advanced airplane in the world was cancelled and turned into scrap metal. BETP5 felt this story needed to be retold so that we may never forget. The late Dianne Collins at CBC Radio 1 agreed. Stricken by health issues BETP5 had to put down the guitars shortly after the release of Arrow Songs.
