Adict The Mad Scientist and Stylez J make up the Canadian home grown hip-hop group, Basic Value. Best friends since Kindergarten, Adict and Stylez J have been stepping up and above the boundaries of hip-hop known across the interior of British Columbia. Performing numerous underground shows in and around British Columbia, Basic Value has been a big part of the underground movement that has taken over the interior of British Columbia. Opening up for many no-name acts, Basic Value believes in helping to keep the underground alive by providing an outlet for fellow hip-hop artists.
Similarly, Basic Value has opened up for big name artists such as the Living Legends, Abstract Rude, Snak The Ripper, Young Sin, Evil Ebenezer and Velvet Trench Vibes to name a few. They are constantly producing and releasing music while touring around Canada promoting their second LP, Static, with fellow Ause Records label mates.
