biographical info

Safety word: Awesome!

Ballgag 'n' Chain Gang is a 5-piece juggernaut of sound; a musical sideshow like no other.  With 12 instruments, including horns, lap steels, didgeridoo, and banjo, and 3 lead vocals each giving their own unique sound.  They take what is great about music, mix it together, boil it down, and run it through some copper pipes.  What comes out are tunes that are high in proof and sweet in flavour. They call it Ho-Tonk.

Ho-Tonk!  It's more than just a sound, it's a state of mind.

2011 sees the release of the band's sophomore album "BANG!".  13 sizzling original tracks that further expand the Ho-Tonk philosophy.  Grab any genre, extract the good stuff, and lay it down thick!

Ball Gag N' Chain Gang has proven their ability to get the crowd going. They feel just as comfortable playing small rooms as they do large stages. They have performed at festivals such as Rifflandia (Victoria), South Country Fair (S. Alberta), Edge of the World (Haida Gwaii) and will probably be playing the local watering hole near you soon!
