biographical info

After their 2001 release “Waiting to Talk”, Newfoundland’s Bucket Truck sat down and discussed what they really loved about music and performing and decided they wanted to record with a producer with the same ideals, someone whom they had total respect for and could make part of their family. Furthermore they decided what they wanted was what all musicians hope for- to make an album for themselves and do it from a truly honest and sincere place. Early Autumn 2003 after a 4 week long trip to Umea Sweden to work with Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lovstrom, the same team who are responsible for the groundbreaking Refused album “The shape of Punk to come”, along with an intense 3 week session in Newfoundland that also included Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Hell is for Hero’s) living and working in a haunted elementary school in Pouch Cove -bucket truck managed to live a dream. The guys were also lucky enough to hook up with Walter Schreifels (quicksand, rival schools), one of the bands musical hero’s who traveled to Newfoundland for the first time to hang out and lend some vocals and inspiration. Believe it or not - that is what Bucket Truck have been up to - and the beauty is, they own it, the band 100% owns their new album, they paid for it with no support from any labels, just their own withered bank accounts and destroyed credit- but are left with memories of an unforgettable experience producing an album that is truly theirs and truly meaningful- to 6 friends.
