biographical info
Blair Packham was once lead singer for Canadian band the Jitters. A power pop band from Toronto, they toured a lot, had a few hits ("Last of the Red Hot Fools"; "Closer Every Day") and broke up, after ten long years. Perhaps too stupid to quit, Blair followed his Jitters "career" with two independent CDs, placing music in film and television soundtracks (most notably, "Dawson's Creek") along the way. His most recent recording, "Could've Been King", is a slice of mid-lfe crisis pie, done in Vancouver with members of the gone-and-much-lamented Odds. In addition to Craig Northey and the fellows, alt.popsters Danny Michel and Kevin Fox make guest appearances on what the Toronto Star calls "a soul-blistering inventory of the detritus of the artist's dreams and ambitions." (whew!) Of one of the songs, Larry Leblanc of Billboard Magazine said ""One Hit Wonder" alone is worth the cost of the entire Blair Packham album or any number of albums." CD Baby says "Fans of Van Morrison, Marc Cohn, Elvis Costello, Jason White, and Ron Sexsmith will find a bounty of indulgences."
