Considered one of the nation's premiere conference entertainment groups, Billy and The Bruisers' sound is influenced primarily by R&B, funk and soul.
Formed in 1992, the band grew into a ten-piece powerhouse wall of sound.

Billy and The Bruisers have traveled extensively across Newfoundland and Labrador in the past year, and last summer the band was accepted to perform at The Pori Jazz Festival in Finland doing 4 Mainstage appearances and also opening up for the Big Bad VooDoo Daddies from America. The Bruisers have also performed in Toronto at 2 major festivals. Most ECMA members will remember The Bruisers from their performance at The Wrap Party for the 1999 ECMA party in St. John's.
